New Demo Song - 'Laodicea'

'Laodicea' is a new song inspired by Revelation 3:14-22, Matthew 25:32-50 and Revelation 20:11-15. The song asks the question:

"Laodecia, are you hot or cold? Laodecia, no, you're just lukewarm..." "In the end, are we hot or cold?"

In Revelation 3:15,16 the Bible says:

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

Basically, Jesus wants us to be either on God's side or the oppositions. No one can be for God and be for the Devil at the same time. The language used in v16 shows Jesus' utter disgust!

In the end we are either hot or cold, ultimately there is no one found lukewarm. The Bible says in Matthew 15:32-50:

32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world... 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

Is our relationship with Jesus hot or cold? Jesus is calling us back to an abiding relationship with Him! Are we fully committed to Jesus? He stands at the door of our heart and knocks (Revelation 3:20,21):

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

I hope this song blesses you and as you listen to this demo recording, remember the words of Jesus: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - John 14:5-7.
