My Dream Conversations

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to talk with one of the people in the Bible? If I had to choose just five to talk with in the first 1,000 years in heaven, I would choose... 1. Eve I would love to hear what it was like to open her eyes for the first time and see God. To not know the feeling of sin. To feel the shame and the amazing redemption that God offered. To have seen the antediluvian world shatter with the weight of sin while the Garden of Eden was still within sight, yet guarded by the flaming swords of the angels. I think that her's would be the most amazing testimony!

2. Joshua I have always wondered what it would have been like for Joshua to wait for Moses at Mt Sinai for all those days. What he did. What he thought. How did his faith and relationship with God grow? To hear his story about when he and the other 'spies' went into Canaan, only for the Israelites lack of faith to cause 40 years of wilderness wandering. How he felt when Moses was gone. When he spoke to the Commander of the Lord's army.

3. Hezekiah I love the story of David, but for some reason Hezekiah's reign has always intrigued me. I'd love to know what it was like to grow up the son of an evil king, and yet decide to learn about the One True God. To learn about how to reign as a righteous king and have the courage to stand up against evil and to restore the worship of the One True God. What it was like to listen to God's advise through the prophet Isaiah. To rely on God's strength against the mighty army of the Assyrians.

4. Esther I would love to ask Esther about how she dealt with been torn from her home. To hear from Esther her testimony of God's grace while she was within the walls of a pagan king. How did she keep her faith and grow to a strength that defied protocol to follow God?

5. John What was his first impression of Jesus?  And what was it that lead him, with the Holy Spirit's prompting, to write such beautiful books laced with messages of love. What was it like to see Jesus' true form with Elijah and Moses on the Mount of Transfiguration? To hear a first hand account, full of every detail, of the weeks beginning from Jesus' final entry into Jerusalem until the Pentecost. What was it like being rescued from death and sent to Patmos. To be shown through revelation what was to come.
