Europe Trip 2009 - Norway (Part 1)

In May 2009 we backpacked around Europe and tried to check out as much as we could see in 10 days on a strict budget!

During the May holiday break we managed to save up enough funds from our stipend to visit some nearby countries in Europe. This is Part 1 of a 6 part series of the trip. We'll be slowly uploading them when we can.

Friday Night Bible Study Group Photo

In this photo are the regular people who came along to the Friday Night Bible Class :-) This shot is taken on our very last Bible class in Kharkov. Great bunch of people, so hungry for the Word! In brief, Friday nights in Kharkov have been the most rewarding experience from the entire Ukrainian adventure! We were able to get all their email addresses and contact details. Anyways, we'll write the whole story of what has happened with Friday nights at another time... sleep :P

Our retro apartment we are staying in...

Here in Kharkiv we have been staying in this apartment - It looks like we've stepped back into the 1970s! Love it! - The fridge which we got at first, all dirty, and then we got a guy come to 'colour' it. i.e spray paint it in the corridor where there is no airflow... what a high smell!

- Our retro iron (hence our rumpled clothes), cool phone and lamp (which doesn't work)

- Don't you love a good chandelier and a good carpet on the couch!

-What's a good retro apartment without a rug on top of a good flower wallpaper!

- Our cool kitchen! The white thing is an old gas water heater for all the hot water!
