Final Stages of ‘Pilgrim'

We are very excited to announce that our CD, 'Pilgrim', is being processed through the final stages of production. Last friday, we spent the day at the Psalter Studios in Sydney listening through the final track mixes before it gets mastered this Tuesday. Woohoo! Dale Willis, our engineer/producer has done some fantastic mixes! The musicians that helped out are amazing and we are pleased that it sounds reverent, worshipful, creative and beautiful for God's glory! The team has done a wonderful job and we just can’t wait to share it with you all. Not long to go now...

Entering into His Rest

It's Sabbath. I sit here in my home. Not house, because we rent, but home it nevertheless is. I'm here with my husband and parent's dog, as we are dog-sitting. The candles and dim lights, the soft, reverent music creates a peaceful atmosphere to contemplate my Lord. I'm so glad that God gave us the Sabbath. For "...'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.'" (Mark 2:27,28) God knew that we needed the Sabbath. To rest, to give back, to rest in Him, to know Him more, to have fun with friends, to talk about the Word, to share Him to others, and to give up some of our time to our Lord and saviour. It's not that these things are not done every single other day of the week. They are. We are to spend time with God every day of the week! But the Sabbath. It's special. Ordained by the Son of Man. By the Word in the beginning. "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." (Genesis 2:3)

God wants us to enjoy this day that He ordained and sanctified. He wants us to enter into His rest. "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His." (Hebrews 4:9,10) Jesus was our ultimate example. He spent quiet time every day with God, He ministered every day to those around Him, yet He also observed the Sabbath. Jesus' disciples followed His example. Ministering to others and sharing God's Word every day and observing the Sabbath day every seventh day. "But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down... (they preach)... So when the Jews went out of the Synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God." (Acts 13:14, 42-44)

The Sabbath day is a gift. It is a special day that has been set aside by God for a special purpose each week. And I couldn't be happier that it is the Sabbath again. I pray that you too will enter into His rest today.

'Aussie Stories for the Heart'

About 5 months ago I received an email from Strand Publishing telling me that they wanted one of my published stories to be included in their upcoming collection! Now, one of my stories has been published in a book by Strand Publishing called 'Aussie Stories for the Heart' and can be bought at WORD (and I guess other places)!  Very exciting! The story is a personal experience when I was a child and wanted a Maltese Terrier more than anything!

The Maltese we welcomed into our home was a gorgeous pup called, Addie (short for adorable), who enriched our lives with lots of fun and tons of  love for 13 awesome years

RIP - Addie 2009
