An update + new music + we need you!

An update
Hello, it has been soo long since we updated you. We came back from a musicianary tour in Europe recently and things went really well. Our music/message theme was on being anxious for nothing and embracing the peace of God (Philippians 4:4-7). We wanted to do something very practical and something that really resonated with us as well; this line of work is filled with lots of anxious moments! We got some encouraging feedback and testimonies so we are super happy about how it all went!

New music + we need you!
We have news about new songs we are writing and some that we have already been released as demos on a platform called Patreon. We will be releasing all new songs (and other creative stuff) on Patreon. The best way to think of it is as an ongoing Kickstarter campaign where you get amazing rewards for joining our team and even if you only pledge $1 p.m you get exclusive access to hear and download all the tracks we put up each month. We personally think that is an amazing deal. A win for you, a win for us because the more patrons we get the more we can be creative and the longer we can be Musicianaries. Naturally, as you go up in tier levels you get even better rewards. So, why are we only releasing new music in this way? Well, Spotify (as much as we love it and use it all the time, yes we know lol) and other streaming platforms are killing the little guy! It has created (in our opinion) a devaluation of music and people don’t really ‘buy’ music anymore, they subscribe to it. So as you can imagine things are very tough for the little creative person these days. So we are using Patreon as a way to support our musicianary calling. Your support, no matter how small or large actually makes a real difference in keeping things going. Without you, we wouldn’t be doing this. We want to invite you to help us share Jesus’ remarkable love through music. We would be absolutely thrilled if you joined us.

WHY ARE WE ON PATREON?
We heard about Patreon last year when someone at one of our concerts told us about the platform and suggested that it could benefit our music ministry. Ever since we have been thinking and praying about it. For us, the Patreon model gives the opportunity for sustainability, creativity (New music!), time, and community.

2017 Year In Review

Hi Friends,

We hope that you've had a blessed Christmas time with your family. With the new year knocking at the door, we've spent a few quiet moments reflecting on our ministry and family life in 2017.

8 1/2 months pregnant

We began the year pregnant and completing our last music ministry tour before becoming a family of three. We toured to different Victorian churches each weekend while being based at home.

Looking back it was a time of excitement, apprehension and growth of faith in God as we went head long around another blind corner of this journey. We each had moments of struggle, wondering and praying about how it was all going to work out.

Then 10th April came and with it we became a family of three. Our little darling Ezra Eric Johnson was born. For the next 4 months, I (Monique) was on maternity leave with Eric working on booking and administration from our home office. It was such a beautiful, sleep deprived, frustrating and joyful time before we faced the world of music ministry touring with a baby.

It was absolutely amazing to be back doing concerts together with our little roadie. After the 5 month break, doing concerts again was like an invigorating breath of fresh air. Each concert in every tour was amazing and special. We are so thankful to God for all the providential moments and to all the people who helped and supported us.

We also just recently put out a new music video for our song 'God Is Love'. 

It's been a year that we dubbed at the beginning as 'The Year of the Baby'. A year of change. One that has been both the slowest and quickest in our recent history. Yet one that has been filled with joy. We have exciting things planned for 2018 and we cannot wait to let you know more about that in the new year.
